Establish A FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE FOUNDATION
The very first thing we will do when we work together is establish a functional medicine foundation. It’s crucial to discuss and figure out the root cause of your symptoms and consider options to approach healing the whole person.
Nourish your body
After looking at your health through the lens of functional medicine, we will set nutrition goals and a timeline to achieve those goals. We will then develop a plan for how to identify foods that might be triggers for you, work to decrease inflammation, and discuss how to eat in a way that nourishes your body and leaves you feeling happy, healthy, and strong.
reduce your toxic load
Your genes are not your destiny. In fact, research points to the fact that autoimmunity is determined 25 percent by your genetics and 75 percent by your environment. What that means is there are steps you can take to reclaim your health, such as eliminating everyday environmental toxins (think: household items, body care items, home environment) and reducing your stress. In this phase of our sessions, we will adopt a step-by-step approach to reduce your toxic load. I have gone through this same process myself and am here to help you take it one step at a time so that it is not overwhelming.
